Project Šance (Chance)
Charity auction/ Artists for “Children of the Street”
Project Šance (Chance) is the first preventive and humanitarian program for sexually and abused children and young adults, victims of exploitations, humans who live in the Czech Republic but are forgotten. For more than twenty years, this project has been helping the “children of the street” to get back on their own two feet. The goal of the project is not to give one time help but to provide help on a long-term basis. The project provides clients with the repeated opportunity to demonstrate that they’re able to stand up on their own two feet, live independently and have their own family.
Part of the Šance Project is a charity auction of artworks run out of the Vltavín Gallery. The project’s founder is László Sümegh, a streetworker, therapist and artist who approaches important personalities on the Czech art scene. In 2018 Petr Písařík auctioned his work off.
